THE PRISONER OF ZENDA -- the '50s Stewart Granger version was a straight technicolor version of the '30s black-and-white Ronald Colman version, which in turn was a remake of the '20s silent version with Lewis Stone and Ramon Navarro. Like MALTESE FALCON, this was the rarity in which the Colman version was infinitely better than its predecessor.
