I was not familiar with him (although anyone who could produce "Along Comes Mary" is a-ok in my book), but his obituary reads like a country song!

"Flip" Paxton, among many other notable contributions to American music, is also give credit for being the "brains behind" Bobby Pickett's "Monster Mash", a work of pop genius in my opinion.
Clyde "Skip" Battin (1934-2003) played and creatively contributed to The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers and New Riders of the Purple Sage. Bravo and thanks to both of them!
