Billboard: Adele's '21' is the top Billboard 200 album, while The Beatles are the biggest act. Plus: 'The Sound of Music' soundtrack is the runner-up title, and Taylor Swift sizzles on the all-time artist list.

By the time they're done with their complicated scoring system, they probably could have picked anyone.
Holy cripes, they couldn't have chosen two that I dislike more than Taylor and Adele. Their popularity, irrespective of this list, boggles my mind.
Please note, the entire ranking is a popularity scale (adjusted in various ways). It has NOTHING to do with quality. Not that there aren't a number of outstanding albums there...but I will note that (unless I missed something) there is nothing on that list by Bob Dylan...(now, I am widely known as a fanatical Dylan fan, but, still...).
