No friggin' way is a falafel pita the best sandwich in OR. Who has even seen one? I won't argue with the TX choice, though.

I live in the tax state of New York and here on the Western side of the State the only man you would find ordering a bagel with lox and cream cheese would be a girlie man. It's BEEF ON WECK where I come from.

Since HALF the population of NYS is here in The Big Apple you lose, August. Although I must admit I like Beef on Weck, which you can even get here in Brooklyn.

I knew Louisiana would be the po'boy--and I don't dispute that (my favorite is oyster, fully dressed). I judge a lot if local places by how good their oyster po'boys are.
