Brooklyn Leads the Way

Which Cities Get the Most Sleep?: The visualizations, prepared by Principal Data Scientist Brian Wilt, paint a nuanced picture of how people sleep across the country. Overall, the county that stays up the latest is Brooklyn (12:07am), and Maui and Kauai counties in Hawaii go to bed the earliest (10:31pm and 10:33pm, respectively). Gotta wake up early to catch the wave!

I guarantee the people who are staying up past midnight every night are in Williamsburg and other "trendy" (and young) areas of the borough, not in the NORC where we live.

FYI, NORC = Naturally Occuring Retirement Community.

My county, Brazoria, is apparently made up of a lot of night owls, too. Not including me. And definitely not including any hipsters. Maybe they don't let the inmates in the prison units go to bed early.

I generally go to bed at 3-4 a.m. and get up between 10 and noon.
