Ralph Wilson, R. I. P.

NYTimes.com: Ralph Wilson, who founded the Buffalo Bills as an original member of the American Football League in 1960 and saw them go to four Super Bowls as the only owner in the team’s history, died on Tuesday at his home in Grosse Pointe Shores, Mich. He was 95.

Hat tip to Jeff Meyerson.

Ralph's death wasn't a surprise. He's been in ill health for years. Now, all Bills fans wonder who will buy the team...and will the new owner move the team to another city. Could the Buffalo Bills become the Los Angles Dragons?

I was going to ask what you thought about his passing, George. All of the sports shows yesterday seemed to agree that the team will not remain in Buffalo much longer. Apparently, Green Bay is the only "small market" city that can support an NFL franchise these days. Even the Saints struggle in New Orleans and they sell out every game!

It would be a real shame for Buffalo to lose its team. The NFL should intervene and make the new owner keep it there.
