Geez ... That breaks my heart. I wanted him and Tommy Jones remaking the old 1970s TV western series, "Alias Smith and Jones." Only with Tommy Jones playing the part of Hannibal Heyes (aka Joshua Smith) and Will Smith playing the part of Jed "Kid" Curry (aka Thaddeus Jones.)
That way, Jones could say, "I'm Smith," and Smith could say, "I'm Jones."

Seems the executives find popularity in a Tom Cruise or a Will Smith...
and so on - and ANY story or idea is fair game. Silly, isn't it?
