Admittedly, I'll buy the book regardless of the title (I'm hooked). But I actually think that St. Martin's has made a mistake--mystery readers would rather have the reference to the epitaph. But what do I know? I'm just a mystery reader.
I like your title better. Murder in the Air sounds like a plane mystery.
I agree with both of you, of course. But the new title does bear at least a little bit of a relationship to the content.
