Your subtitle for this news item is very mysterious. Brokeback Mountain was about two homos on horseback. This other item is about a composer writing an opera about Disney's last days as imagined by someone who wasnt there and is jonesing for an audience hook among "the critical establishment." Minimalist composers always write surreal operas. It like it's in the handbook or something. And they always have some grand, cosmic theme. Minimalist composers try to unite the universe into five notes. it's a whole different ballgame from guys in tight jeans hugging by campfire light and falling in love with the scent of studrut in each others nostrils. Really. It's the difference between putrefying meat on the hot sidewalk and a plate of oddly shaped beads in a neon duck. They're both really weird but one is very unsavory.
