Especially that last one.

Glad to see they're upholding their standard of quality entertainment.

Peta Wilson + beach has some possibilities, though.

I never understood this channel. With the budget they have, they should be producing better quality program. I have been watching and DVRing The Chiller Channel lately. They have the hour long "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "Kolchak, The Night Stalker" series. I like the classics.....

I wonder if Comcast gets that channel here. I guess I should check.

I'm with Fred here - my first reaction was "OMFG what is this crap?"

Why can't they do something like, for example, GATTACA, which didn't require lots of cool special effects - just a great script and some good actors.

Graham, you're forgetting that this is the channel that thought updating Flash Gordon(WTF) was a good idea.

Looks as if Comcast doesn't carry that channel in Houston.

I always figured they were trying to make bad movies.

Hey, how can you call Lake Placid 3 crap?

It's gotta be a classic, right Bill?

Doubtful. Here it's Fear.net channel. I watched a couple of movies (finally got to see Last House On The Left - some okay nudity) before I had to drop the lower digital tier when my bill went up $20 and they'd occasionally splash a Fear.net id over the bottom third of the screen during the movies. I know the Dish use to offer Monster HD but dropped it (Patrick at Ravensbarrow.com wrote a couple of posts about his displeasure of them doing so).

Some Sci Fi Channel original movies could be an okay way to pass a couple of hours esp on a Saturday night (not like there's a lot to watch on TV nowadays) depending on the cast and/or one's interest in the subject. I don't really miss the channel (Comcast moved it to the lower tier of the digital service sometime back and pissed a lot of people off (something they excel at). Several years back the guy that owns the store I use to buy my comics. pulp reprinta and some collectibles told me and another guy that he was talking to a writer that SFC had asked to write a script about the Loch Ness monster but not set near any body of water. Don't know if it got produced or not.

Sadly TV channels and theatrical films are pretty much aimed at pre-teens to 30-somethings. Much of the people who go into TV, Film and entertainment writing (esp. management) like most people that go into any field are idiots.

RTN just changed their schedule yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how much crap they put on I don't want to watch since the on screen schedule hasn't reflected the changes.
