I guess it won't surprise anyone that Comcast is #1.

As for Verizon, all our problems have come from one local "service" office. On the phone they've been very good about any questions, and the cable service is so far superior to Time Warner there is no real comparison. Time Warner sucked; Verizon doesn't.

I always assume that my experience with any customer service rep is going to go poorly: lack of training, no authority to change things, poorly-paid, high-turnover jobs often being help by people with, let's just be charitable and say, minimal grasp of English. But be aware: that's not a bug, it's a feature as far as big corporations are concerned. They could fix it, they don't want to. As my husband succinctly puts it, "We spend half our time doing someone else's job--just to make sure it's done right and the negative consequences don't fall back on us."

Verizon has been hideous with their customer service and billing issues. Time Warner Cable is just as bad.
