They forgot Bal-Sagoth

Of course, the phrase "Of Mice and Men" was originally from a Robert Burns poem not the Steinbeck novel.

Last I heard about As I Lay Dying the lead singer was arrested for trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife. The same thing happened to a member of AC/DC.

It may depend on your definition of "classic literature" but shouldn't Steely Dan be in there...so to speak?

Oh, I'd forgotten Steely Dan--that's my husband's favorite "literary" band name!
