Of course I knew, except for the Cyndi Lauper.

8 of 9. Like Jeff, I didn't realize Cyndi Lauper's song was a cover.

True story: Back when Tiffany had a hit with "I Think We're Alone Now," I was at a family picnic and the original by Tommy James & the Shondells came on the radio. A couple of tweener relatives started squealing, "Oh no, someone stole Tiffany's song!"

/Those litle girls are now in their 30s with children of their own. Jeez, I am old. No wonder I can remember who did the original versions of songs. Sigh.

Deb, join me on the geezer bus.

Jackie was always a big fan of the original version (which almost no one remembers) of "See You in September" by The Tempos. All anyone knows is the fast version by The Happenings. We finally found a copy of the former on the AMERICAN GRAFFITI soundtrack.
