I'm trying to remember when seat belts became a factory installed option. Seems to me our 1958 Ford had them, but can't remember if the '56 did.

The question made me curious, so I checked on Wikipedia:

American car manufacturers Nash (in 1949) and Ford (in 1955) offered seat belts as options, while Swedish Saab first introduced seat belts as standard in 1958
