I remember Cousin Brucie and Dave Ingram on WABC, and Larry Lujack and Dick Biondi on WLS. In West Virginia I could often pick up transmissions from both stations at night, especially in the winter. In high school, on early mornings that I had my clock radio set to WLS, I would usually wake up to the Chicago stockyard news reports. On vacations on the North Carolina coast, I would listen to WABC, probably near the far southern end of its daytime coastline transmission range.

The last time I checked, Dick Biondi was still broadcasting, but not on WLS. I could pick that one up in Texas at night and heard him for years. Cousin Brucie is on XM/Sirius now.

You mean Big Dan Ingram, I think. He was my favorite, but Cousin Brucie was good, too. Oddly enough, when I lived in NY I would tune in WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia, on Sunday nights, when the music stopped for whatever reason.
