Broad strokes here a little Too broad...after all, Gernsback was More than happy to run Burroughs stories in his early issues, and the pulpish ASTOUNDING of the Clayton/Harry Bates years didn't last long...F. Orlin Tremaine was nearly as interested in science-related material as his successor(though he did engage Charles Fort "nonfiction," anticipating Campbell's consistent flirtation with pseudoscience from the turn of the '50s onward)(JWC's own "tour of the solar system" pieces in the Tremaine ASTOUNDING was a highlight for the young Isaac Asimov).
