She Must Have Been Really Attractive

I saw a movie once where a guy robs a woman and then romances her, but I think it was William Powell or Ronald Colman. Maybe this guy just watches too much TCM.

There was a forgettable 1980s movie (maybe someone remembers the title) in which a burglar stole a woman's diary and then contrived to meet her and romance her by saying things like, "I bet you like that smooth jazz station," after he read in her diary that she did.

Leaving aside the criminal element, it sounds like creepy stalking behavior that any woman would be wise to run a mile to get away from--but in the movie the couple fell in love. Blech! I gave up all sympathy for the heroine when she couldn't figure out that her stolen diary was being parroted back to her.

The movie was THIEF OF HEARTS and I kinda liked it, in a sick-potential-stalker way.
