I Report, You Decide

BBC NEWS | Magazine | Do they really think the earth is flat?: "In the 21st Century, the term 'flat-earther' is used to describe someone who is spectacularly - and seemingly wilfully - ignorant. But there is a group of people who claim they believe the planet really is flat. Are they really out there or is it all an elaborate prank?"

It"s hard to believe people like that still exist. I've heard about them for years now.
I have a friend who believes we've never been to the Moon. It's all Hollywood, filmed in the desert. I think he must have seen Capricorn One, about a faked Mars mission, and took it to heart.

The notion that the moon landings were faked on a Hollywood sound stage has been around since practically before the moon landings - people at the time said that that was how it was actually going to be done!

For years I thought that the Flat Earth Society was a joke and that the members realized it was a joke, but as time went by I came to realize that not only were they dead serious but they made true creationists sound like enlightened intellectuals by comparison.

The world is flat? I thought it was hollow.
