10 Most Bizarre Scientific Papers

Some are more bizarre than others. I think my favorite is "Safe and Painless Manipulation of Penile Zipper Entrapment." You can see all of them here.

Hat tip the the Mike McGruff blog.

Fort McClellan, Alabama, 1967. I was at NCO Academy and on a Saturday off decided to climb a large hill with another fool. On the way to it I had to relieve myself and stepped off the road, into the woods. But not too far in. As I was finishing up I heard the unmistakable sound of a company of WACs calling cadence as they marched down the road, toward my position. In my haste to zip up I caught a bit of skin in the zipper. The combination of physical agony and fear of being discovered by 200 female trainees renderes me weak to this day.
